FORTUNA SENIOR SERVICES, INC.

Working to become THE recognized hub around which Eel River Valley area "second fifty" agers activities revolve.

The Fortuna area has the highest percentage of folks in their second fifty years in Humboldt County at about 30 percent, vs 18 percent countywide. Founded in Nov. 2003 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Fortuna Senior Services has only one purpose - to provide services to enrich, empower and involve these lives through improved access to social activities and recreation, healthcare, and opportunities for involvement and participation.

Fortuna Senior Services is a membership organization.  It belongs to the members. As such, FSS does rely on membership fees for support. Every Senior (50 and over) is welcome to participate in most FSS activities. However, membership brings ADDED BENEFITS:

• Receive the Newsletter
• Receive notices and Calendar of events by mail and email
• Reduced admission charge at special events
• Special rates on fee-for-service items
• The right to Participate in member-only events  such as the annual meeting and voting
• Plus personal pride and sense of belonging through involvement.
